Security Deposit Refund

The security deposit (equivalent to 2 months' rent) is fully refundable provided all of the following conditions are met at the time of vacating:

  • A written 30-day notice period has been served via email to liveinnapartments@gmail.com after the completion of the lock-in period.
  • All outstanding electricity and utility bills have been cleared in full.
  • No damage has been caused to property, furniture, fixtures or common areas beyond normal wear and tear.
  • All keys and access cards have been returned.
  • The room has been vacated in a clean condition.

Refunds will be processed within 7 working days of a verified clean exit via bank transfer or UPI to the resident's registered account.

Non-Refundable Situations

The security deposit will not be refunded (in full or in part) in the following situations:

  • Early vacating before the lock-in period ends without mutual written agreement
  • Eviction due to violation of house rules (e.g. visitor policy, property damage)
  • Outstanding utility bills that remain unpaid at the time of exit
  • Cost of repairing or replacing damaged property exceeding the deposit

Advance Rent Refund

The first month's rent paid at the time of booking is non-refundable once the resident has moved in. If a booking is cancelled before move-in with more than 7 days' notice, 50% of the first month's rent will be refunded. Cancellations within 7 days of the scheduled move-in date are non-refundable.

Deductions from Deposit

Liveinn reserves the right to deduct from the security deposit the cost of:

  • Unpaid utility bills
  • Repair or replacement of damaged items
  • Professional cleaning if the room is not left in acceptable condition
  • Unreturned keys or access cards

An itemised deduction statement will be provided to the resident before or at the time of deposit refund.

Process for Requesting Refund

  1. Send a notice email to liveinnapartments@gmail.com at least 30 days before your planned move-out date.
  2. Clear all outstanding utility bills before or on the last day of stay.
  3. Ensure the room and common areas are clean and undamaged.
  4. Return all keys and access cards to the property manager on or before the last day.
  5. Provide your bank account details (account number, IFSC, UPI ID) for the refund transfer.

Disputes

If you disagree with any deduction from your security deposit, please raise the dispute within 7 days of receiving the refund statement by emailing contact@liveinn.co.in. We will review and respond within 5 working days.
